We’re Amy & Alice.

 

Pheno’s founders, Amy Deneson and Alice Lee, have over 16 years of marketing experience each. Amy and Alice were once colleagues at a successful ad tech start-up, an ad network that was acquired by Akamai Technologies in 2008.  At the time, the founders were first-movers in a nascent and high growth industry that planted the seed for programmatic media.

After scaling the digital advertising business for Akamai, Alice continued to grow digital media career as a respected consultant for industry leading brands, agencies and technology companies including Revlon, Samsung, Amazon, Mediacom, Media Assembly and Adswerve. Leveraging her consulting business and industry relationships, she opened many doors for cannabis advertisers to mainstream media and technology that would have otherwise been inaccessible.

In 2017, Amy joined Curaleaf to lead marketing and sales in New York. She opened retail dispensaries and brought dozens of cannabinoid products to market. She quickly realized that the most basic marketing deployments that are turn-key in other industries pose extraordinary challenges for cannabis companies.

We created Pheno to solve for one of the major marketing challenges: paid media. Paid media is a valuable contribution to the marketing mix and, to date, the most underserved.
